About the Role

Seidor, in collaboration with a key European institution, is looking for a Test Engineer Specialist to join an international team in Strasbourg. You'll be a key player in ensuring the delivery of robust, high-quality software solutions, participating in all phases of testing — from strategy to automation — in a dynamic Agile-driven environment.

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification (mandatory).
• Strong experience in manual and automated testing in complex IT environments.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript , and automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright).
• Solid experience with Test Management & Defect Tracking tools (Xray, TestRail, Jira).
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, RDBMS (PostgreSQL), networking , and container technologies like Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define and maintain test strategies and detailed test plans.
• Apply structured test methodologies aligned with project needs.
• Review technical documentation to identify acceptance criteria and test deliverables.

Test Design & Execution

• Design and implement test cases using tools like Xray, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Execute manual and automated functional, non-functional, and regression tests.
• Conduct API testing (Postman, Kreya, SoapUI).
• Manage test environments and prepare necessary test data.
• Monitor logs and system behavior during test runs to detect defects.

Test Automation

• Automate test cases using Playwright, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain and enhance reusable automation assets.
• Recommend tools and methodologies to improve test efficiency.

Reporting & Defect Management

• Produce detailed test reports (coverage, status, defects).
• Log, triage, and retest defects using Jira or equivalent.
• Participate in root cause analysis and propose corrective actions.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Test Managers.
• Assist end-users during client testing phases.
• Support debugging through log analysis (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Contribute to defining project use cases and test scenarios.

Non-Functional Testing

• Design and execute performance, load, and reliability tests.
• Apply non-functional testing at both component and system levels.
• Use tools like JMeter, Gatling, or propose new alternatives.
