JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Application Engineer based in our Strasbourg office , you will be responsible for serving our French and Western European customers through customization, integration and testing. You will join a highly collaborative and competent team, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with various aspects of systems engineering, safety, hardware and software development in an exciting startup setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage integration and deployment projects in close collaboration with customers
• Implement interface and customized software to integrate our product into our customer’s
• Implement and field-test application-specific features for autonomous train control, including localization, mapping, obstacle detection and collision avoidance.
• Define and execute system validation and tests (bench and field) all the way to customer acceptance.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to set up successful demos and technical proposals to sign future customers. Spot and support opportunities for up-sales and new projects at existing customers
• Proactively identify and resolve challenges to drive growth and enhance the success of both the team and the company.

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 10 years of proven work experience in developing code and managing software and hardware projects.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Experience in embedded software, C/C++, Python and software engineering processes and tools.
• Understanding of different perception sensors like LiDAR, camera and radar as well as computers
• Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles or the rail environment is a big plus.
• Openness to learning, pragmatism, ambition and fun to work with.
