SOA Solution Architect - STRASBOURG for ON-site at EU-client - Europeans only

We are currently looking for a Senior Solution Architecture Specialist (Freelance) for a long-term assignment with a major EU agency in Strasbourg .

This is a rare long-duration opportunity in the EU institutions environment.

• Location: Strasbourg, France
• Work model: Hybrid (majority onsite)
• Duration:
• Initial 12-month contract (approx. 220 days) with long-term extensions expected (up to ~3 years total) .
  Project duration: 3 years (660 working days)
  Each year (220 working days), where 132 days onsite in Strasbourg + 88 days in proximity (maximum 2 hours from the eu-Clients' office). This means around 7 days per month can be worked from proximity.
• Start: approx. 4-8 weeks depending on onboarding.

ROLE

You will support the design and architecture of enterprise systems and integration platforms in a complex international environment.

Main responsibilities include:

• Designing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions

• Supporting enterprise integration architecture and Middleware design

• Participating in technical design sessions and architecture reviews

• Supporting system development and enhancement initiatives

• Working closely with technical and functional teams

• Ensuring architectural standards and development methodologies are followed

PROFILE

• 9+ years IT experience

• Strong experience with SOA/integration architecture

• Experience with enterprise Middleware environments

• Knowledge of technologies such as:

  • Web Services

  • SOAP/XML

  • UML/BPEL

  • SQL/JDBC

• Experience with Linux/UNIX enterprise environments

Nice to have:

• TOGAF/Open Group Architect certification

• Experience with enterprise architecture standards
