IT Operations Manager - Strasbourg

For an international organization in Strasbourg, France , we are urgently looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead and continuously improve IT service operations across a complex, multi-platform infrastructure environment.

As IT Operations Manager, you will provide senior operational leadership across infrastructure, platforms, IT service management, security and service delivery , ensuring high availability, operational excellence and compliance with agreed service levels and security standards.

This is a senior position requiring strong experience in IT Operations Management, ITIL-based service delivery, infrastructure operations and stakeholder management .

Security Clearance Requirements

Candidates must:

• Meet the required EU citizenship/nationality criteria for at least 10 years;
• Hold, or be eligible and willing to obtain, a Personal Security Clearance (PSC) in accordance with applicable EU or national security requirements;
• Have the legal right to work in France. Work permit sponsorship is not provided .

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Lead daily IT infrastructure and service operations across Linux and Windows servers, middleware, databases, virtualization, storage, backup and cloud/hybrid environments;
• Ensure operational processes and service delivery are aligned with ITIL v4, NIST CSF, security and compliance requirements ;
• Oversee Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management , using ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms, and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and recurring issues;
• Drive infrastructure lifecycle management, including patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, endpoint hardening and configuration compliance ;
• Monitor service performance and deliver SLA, KPI, operational and service-quality reporting to client stakeholders and internal governance;
• Drive improvements in monitoring and observability , using solutions such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics and Splunk;
• Manage operational workforce planning, including shift coverage, on-call organization, task allocation and performance monitoring ;
• Represent IT Operations during project planning, operational readiness and build-to-run/service transition activities;
• Lead Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Agile and DevOps principles;
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and support partners, including Oracle, IBM, VMware and infrastructure hardware providers ;
• Ensure a strong operational security posture and proactively address operational, technical and service-delivery risks.

IT Operations Manager Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field ;
• 10+ years of professional IT experience , with strong exposure to enterprise infrastructure and IT service operations;
• 5+ years of IT Operations Management or senior operational leadership experience ;
• Strong knowledge of ITIL-based IT Service Management (ITSM) and enterprise service delivery;
• Experience managing complex, multi-platform infrastructure environments;
• Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management ;
• Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, service reporting and continuous improvement initiatives ;
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, vulnerability management and operational compliance;
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills;
• Experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams and external vendors;
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification is required ;
• Fluent English , both written and spoken.

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt ;
• ISO/IEC 27001 experience or certification;
• ISO/IEC 20000 experience or certification;
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification;
• Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF) ;
• Experience with ServiceNow or comparable enterprise ITSM platforms;
• Experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics or Splunk ;
• Experience supporting highly regulated, governmental or international environments.
