🌍 Context

Our client, a leading European institution based in Strasbourg, is looking for a Test Management Specialist to strengthen their on-site team. The role is critical to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions by designing, executing, and automating tests within a structured Agile environment.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

1. Test Strategy & Planning

• Define and maintain test strategies and detailed test plans.
• Apply structured test methodologies and best practices.
• Review technical documentation to extract acceptance criteria and test deliverables.

2. Test Design & Execution

• Create and implement test cases with tools like Xray, TestRail, or Zephyr .
• Execute manual and automated functional, non-functional, and regression tests .
• Conduct API testing (Postman, Kreya, SoapUI).
• Prepare and manage test environments and test data.
• Monitor logs and system behavior to detect defects.

3. Test Automation

• Automate test cases with Playwright, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript .
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines .
• Maintain reusable test scripts and automation assets.
• Recommend tools and strategies to improve efficiency.

4. Reporting & Defect Management

• Produce detailed test reports (coverage, status, defect summary).
• Log, triage, and retest defects via Jira .
• Participate in root cause analysis and product improvement.

5. Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, BAs, and Test Managers .
• Support end-users during client testing phases.
• Assist debugging via log/output analysis ( Grafana, Prometheus ).
• Contribute to project use cases and test scenario definitions.

6. Non-Functional Testing

• Design and execute performance, load, and reliability tests .
• Apply non-functional testing at both component and system level.
• Use tools like JMeter, Gatling , or recommend alternatives.

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software testing.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification .
• Proven experience in both manual and automated testing for complex IT systems.
• Strong knowledge of scripting and automation tools ( Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Playwright ).
• Proficiency with test management & defect tracking tools (Xray, TestRail, Jira).
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux, RDBMS (PostgreSQL), networking, and containers (Kubernetes) .
• Solid analytical, debugging, and reporting skills.
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments .
